I can’t believe I’m 5 months pregnant. Chloe’s been a real handful these days and it’s been hard to focus on my new beannie. My body tells me I’m pregnant but emotionally I tend to forget the fact that there’s another baby inside of me. I think Chloe is more aware of it than I am because particularly these days, she’s been especially attached to me. She recently came down with a cold so during the last few nights, she would not let me leave her. I spent a few nights holding her, almost pulling all nighters. She’s always been a great sleeper (well, more or less) since she was 4 months old, and we didn’t have to comfort her to sleep. She loved her own space and was very much happy in her own crib.
But things have changed. We tried sleeping with her in our bed after so many visits to her room last night, but as we have before, we failed to do that because she always starts playing, get cranky followed by crying in our room. Finally at around 4 a.m. this morning, Chloe and I were both exhausted and when I took her to our guest bedroom, we both fell asleep there. She was all over the bed though. Most of the time, she had her legs up on my face, kicking and pushing me. At one point, she body slammed me on top of my stomach, I could feel my poor little beannie squirming away to the other side of my stomach. no joke!
After this long sleepless night, something wonderful happened. When Chloe woke up, she looked for me and said, “uhm-ma!” She then came close to me, touched my face and gave me a kiss. I completely melted. It was the sweetest reward I’ve ever gotten!

Chloe attended her first wedding ever at the Botanical Garden in Brooklyn. It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. When Chloe saw her daddy standing next to the groom, she wanted to follow him up there. She kept calling her daddy so I had to take her outside during the ceremony.

Thanks to Chloe, Andrew and I got a good workout today trying to catch her everywhere. She was ALL OVER the place!





After the wedding we had fun playing on the grass and looking at different flowers in the garden. Finally, spring is here!





Finally she was able to take a little nap after being up for 10 hours. It was a loooong day for all of us, especially for Chloe. Today we realized we have to start disciplining her better because now she started to scream if she doesn’t get her own way… Oh my…

I’m away on a business trip for a few days… and I miss Chloe like crazy. Although, I have to say it’s nice to just be on my own and not have to worry about taking care of all the chores back at home. I trust that Chloe is in good hands. Andrew’s working from home to be with Chloe.
Each night, I retired pretty early after a full day of meetings. Back in my hotel room, I opened the window so I could hear the ocean sound… no TVs, no ipods, no radio. It was nice. It’s been a while since I was at complete peace, in a calming environment… then after an hour or so, I would log into my computer and look at Chloe’s pictures until I fell asleep. I’m so hopeless….!;)
