Baptism

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Today was a glorious day! Chloe’s baptism symbolizes our covenant love with God. The baptism of children witnesses to the truth that God’s love claims us before we are able to respond in faith. And as for us as parents, it’s a promise that we made before God to raise her with scripture teachings and faith.

Chloe In Da City!

Monday, May 14th, 2007

We celebrated my first mother’s day by going to the central park in NYC. No present can ever be compared with this gift in my arms. I never expected this much of love existed inside me. As my love for Chloe grows bigger each day, I’m realizing and appreciating my parents all the more. When I pray with her every night before she goes to bed, I asked God to bless her that she may grow up to be a Godly woman and I also ask God to bless her future husband. I remember my Mom telling me that she started to pray for my husband when I started elementary school. Not that becuase of her prayer I met a perfect husband (we all know there’s no such thing, no pun intended) it’s that kind of love and caring heart my parents have raised me with and showed me. I realized my love for my Mom will never reach the height of her love for me. As same for Chloe, my love will be always greater than her love for me…

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.”
James 1:17-18
