PLAN B

Friday, February 18th, 2022

So the concussion I had 3 weeks ago skiing has sent me to ER today. My headache/pressure hasn’t subsided and my friends have been urging me to get it checked… and I was only able to get MRI done this morning for various reasons. When my scan results were sent to my doctor, she called me to tell me to go to ER immediately because the scan showed blood in my brain on both sides. I got into my car and had a panic attack thinking I’ve been running around last 3 weeks bleeding in my head and what kind of circumstances that I may have caused and I might need surgery tonight?! Thanks to God, he gave me strength to pull myself together, drove home, and packed a bag containing my toiletries +2 books & kindle (I really thought I was going to be in the hospital for a while from what I was told) and of course some healthy snacks, then Andrew drove me to the hospital. There, after going through routine checks, they told me what the scan seems to be showing was old blood and they’ll just put me on steroid for now followed by CT scan in 2 weeks. What a relief….
We were planning on leaving for Lake Placid this afternoon for a long weekend trip to ski… but instead, I’m now housebound, with even more headaches from the trauma/shock this afternoon…

GET WELL FLOWERS

Wednesday, August 12th, 2020

I’m hearing a lot of  I TOLD YOU SOs today… So maybe the haircut and the picnic were not such good ideas after all. Or maybe it’s one of those things that happens randomly… Who knows. After much excruciating pain for the last two days, my doctor ordered another CAT scan and blood work to find the culprit of the pain. Turns out there’s been a fluid build up where my appendix was. Fun!
So I lost all my rights (especially to my mom) to do anything else besides lying down and resting. I’m staying in bed and obeying.
Thanks to my friends who stopped by and dropped off flowers to brighten my day! Means so much, Michelle and Amy K!!!

STAYING PUT

Sunday, August 2nd, 2020

So the dumb me thought that I was feeling better this morning so I went out to the garden, tended to it, got some herbs to make pesto pasta for lunch for the family. My mom has been cooking for the whole family and I wanted to help today since I was feeling more energetic… and I did some laundry while I was at it… when the pain back and started throbbing.

So I learned my lesson, took my meds, went back to my bed and promised to do nothing until I see my doctor in 10 days… Oh well, I tried. I just have to close my eyes and ignore all the things I see that needs to be done around the house…

BABY ROBINS

Sunday, May 31st, 2020

We’ve never seen baby chicks before. Kids have been checking multiple times a day to see if those eggs are hatching and they did! So cute!!  I couldn’t get too close because I didn’t want the mommy bird to get nervous. We learned that both parents take turns protecting the nest, finding food, and feeding the hungry babies. This is so cool!

praying…

Tuesday, March 31st, 2020

I picked up dinner for my friend’s family, who has a family dealing with Covid-19, while I was picking up dinner for them, I order for our family too. What a rare treat that is.

It’s a scary time… as it hit us so close… Praying on my knees for the Lord to heal, restore, renew and recover so many who are effected and for the protection of the healthcare people who are on the frontline…
