I got a great bargain on this antique accent chair last year and I sanded down and painted the frame with Annie Sloan chalk paint, and got it reupholstered to match with my bedroom colors. 🙂
Such a fun outing! We enjoyed a beautiful night filled with the songs and history of Edith Piaff & Josephine Baker, performed by Broadway star Ciara Renee.
Afterwards we walked around the city and stopped by a candy store for my kids and our hubbies.
Chloe loves to smell scents. We covered most of the personal care products stores, perfume and candle stores in SOHO adding some clothing shopping in-between, of course
Our last stop was Arcadia Earth museum. This was kinda cool, but underwhelming. It was educational… the focus on the environment is what needs to be taken away from this experience… If a friend asked me if it’s worth the visit, I would say, no. Overall, we had a great time in the city, and the weather today couldn’t have been better so I’m thankful. I’m glad Shane still likes to hold hands when we walk. 🙂
Chloe’s going to Word of Life camp for a week! I’m sad but very excited for her! Praying that the Holy Spirit will guide these kids and come back spiritually fed, blessed and with new kindred friendships. Miss you so much already!! The house feels so quiet and empty with out you, Chloe. No one is asking me if I want to hear Harry Potter impressions…
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
