happy thanksgiving
Saturday, November 28th, 2009I made sausage-stuffed mushrooms and crackers with honey and brie for Thanksgiving dinner at Wei’s. (I got the Barefoot Contessa’s stuffed mushrooms recipes here.)
They had ham, a 20 lb turkey AND duck with all kinds of amazing homemade side dishes for over 20 people. Everything was absolutely delicious and I, of course, put about 3 servings on my plate to "share" with my kids. Shane was stuffed with appetizers and was too tired to eat and Chloe hardly sat with me to eat because she was having too much fun playing with Naomi and her uncle Chris. Chloe was ordering Chris around telling him what to do the whole time…where does she get this bossy attitude? Anyway, I finished what was on my plate and then went for a seconds. ha!
We were so blessed to be with such wonderful friends this Thanksgiving.
Thank you Wei family for your warm hospitality.

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009fun in the field
Saturday, November 21st, 2009We went back to Watchung Reservation park near Madison. We ran around the open field getting some fresh air. Now that Shane’s walking really well, we don’t even bother taking out the stroller any more. He loves to run around just like Chloe.
(Wish this picture wasn’t blurry… would’ve been a great shot.)
We spotted 7-8 deers at the park.
a white deer?
They hold hands in the car…
Love seeing them like this…

Sunday, November 15th, 2009storytime
Friday, November 13th, 2009I took the kids to a storytime event at GRC this afternoon. Our church invited the author Sally Loyd Jones to come and read her The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name. This is one of our family’s favorite book to read. She was just as lovely as I imagined and it was a delightful experience to meet her!
Chloe went to a birthday party
Sunday, November 8th, 2009Chloe was invited to Sydney’s 4th birthday party at Power House studio in Paramus today. The theme of the party was "playtime forest with milo the dragon & friends" Fun times…
Chloe sat in her seat and finished TWO slices of pizza, missing the craft activity. She was glued to the bench until she was done.
We’re so happy to celebrate your birthday with you, Sydney. Happy birthday beautiful girl!!
